Don't see much chance of holding onto Ingram with all these HC vacancies around.Haven't heard of any chatter about anyone else.I can see where some changes could begin to happen with assistants duties if Holmes is actually thinking retirement after 2025 season.I don't think he will, particularly since Ingram is obviously shopping.I don't expect any HC changes at West yet.Probably will be some shuffling with assistants.Think East got lucky and that program could turn around quickly with a longtime HC who probably knows all the tricks involved in instilling discipline in a program that might elude a less experienced HC.

Never forget when Roger played for the tie. Imagine being 4th and 2 from midfield with 1:05 left for the state championship and your coach elects to punt. Here's what GHSF Daily wrote about it:
Line: Dublin -5 (66% chance of winning). This was the first of two ties within hours of each other on Dec. 17, the night that forever ended ties in GHSA finals. Later that evening, Peachtree Ridge and Roswell would tie 14-14 in the Class 5A final. The GHSA abandoned ties after that and called for overtime in future championship games. This game, played in Dublin, was contested between unbeaten teams, with Charlton County ranked No. 1 and Dublin No. 3. Charlton claimed its third consecutive title, Dublin its first since 1963. Dublin led 13-0, and Charlton County scored touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters to tie. Charlton County missed an extra point (deflected by Dublin’s Brandon Edmond) after Dwight Dasher threw a 28-yard TD pass to D.J. Donley with 7:30 left. Dublin had a fourth-and-2 near midfield with 1:05 left but elected to punt, drawing some boos in the crowd. Neither team got in scoring position again. This was the eighth tie in GHSA finals history. It’s not likely it would’ve been enough to persuade the GHSA to ban ties, but coupled with the Peachtree Ridge-Roswell deadlock in the highest classification, change was inevitable. Since 2006, overtimes have decided 10 GHSA finals.

Roger booed in his own stadium by his own fans??……….. say it ain’t so…………and to think some of those redneck games fans still worship the ground he walks on……….. hilarious………..

Most of the folks around me thought the winner would be decided by penetration and that Dublin had it 3-0.Some thought there would be overtime. When the clock expired things got so quite you could have heard that pen drop.Everyone sat still until they finally realized it was over and very quietly filtered out.The booing was when they kicked the PAT instead of going for two not the punt.

They may have booed where you were at during the extra point, but where I was sitting sounded like the whole Dublin side booed when Dublin punted instead of going for it. You are correct about after the game it was quite as a mouse everybody walking out was saying why punt the ball and not go for the win, People were in disbelief!

I would much rather be upset about trying and missing than not trying at all. Those what if’s can really be tough as the years go by.

Rat Poison old friend....a hand full on here will whine about that game until the day they die🤪.. It reminds me of working in an office full of women that argue about who got their lunch break first 17 years ago....

Ya know, a state championship ring don't say "Co-State Champion".
Hell, we split one with Hawkinsville.
