Good week for most last week. dragonone missed the Stockbridge and Dutchtown wins, but I'm sure he'll bounce back. Just to answer his comment. Dawgs completely dominated Ola.
Here's the results:
CM23 6-0
qbcoach18 6-0
dragonone 4-2
smking27 6-0
Let get right to it. As we all know the season will move along quickly. Some good games on tap for this Labor Day weekend.
This is how I see thing for this week:
Jones County OFF - The Hounds continued to light up the scoreboard. They cruised to an easy victory over Washington County. QB Teldrick Ross continued making big plays and the defense was led by Jake Langford who returned an INT for 100 yds and a TD. Then followed it up with a 46 yd fumble recovery for a score. They are of this week before taking on Locust Grove on 9/8.
Forest Park at Locust Grove (9/1) – It’s the 2nd week in a row that the Wildcats get to face a historic program. This week will be an easy win for coach Satterfield’s bunch as they host Forest Park. The Panthers haven’t made much history lately. The only way they make more is if they defeat the Wildcats. I don’t see that happening. Locust Grove
Woodland @ Tri-Cities – The Pack made a money trip to title town last week and took the loss. I think this week will be different as the defense should handle these Bulldogs.Woodland
Union Grove at Apalachee - The Wolverines could actually win this one as the Chee hasn’t been good for years. Even though it’s a road game and it is UG I’m gonna go with them. UG
Stockbridge Vs Lovejoy (9/2) at Twelve Oakes Stadium. Another good one here. Lovejoy will not be a pushover, but I think the Tiger D saves the day again. Look for more production from Ezzard. Stockbridge
Heritage, Conyers at Ola (9/1) – The Mustangs got hammered by Dutchtown last Friday. Ola is pretty easy to figure out. If you stop Chris Rodriguez then you can beat them. But we all know crazy things can happen at Ola. Still I’m going with Heritage
Hampton at Whitewater (9/1) – The Hornets have made strides, but they just aren’t there yet. Whitewater
Eagles Landing at Houston County. (8/31) The Golden Eagles looked good vs ELCA and have another interesting matchup this week vs the Bears. Houston County has given up a lot of points so far this season. I’m going for the upset. Eagles Landing
Dutchtown at Columbia (9/2) at Avondale Stadium – Dawgs dominated Ola last week and set numerous records vs Columbia last season. Dutchtown JV will see plenty of action. Dawgs big. Dutchtown
Good luck to all!
