smking27 3-1
Another good week of selections by our pigskin gurus
The shocker was Hampton knocking off Woodland for their first ever Region win. I’ve known the Hornets were improved, but this was unexpected.
I’m on vacation right now, so give me another week to get the standings up to date.
Also being away from home I don’t know what the situation is. I’m guessing the games will still be played.
Let’s take a look at this week:
Stockbridge @ Ola – Tigers are tough. The just do what they they do. They grind on you. They seem to have another gear they go into when they get into a tough game. Ola is back after a week off. Rodriguez is the key for the Mustangs. If he has a big game they could make some noise. I’m sticking with the Tigers. Stockbridge
Hampton @ Eagles Landing – as I said before the Hornets have improved and congrats to Coach Robbie Ashley on his first Region win. The Golden Eagles are a team to keep an eye on. They’ve started out pretty good and are coming off a big win at Houston County. I’m going to stick with them. - Eagles Landing
Jones County @ Woodland-Stockbridge – I think the Greyhounds make the trip up 75 and defeat the homestanding Wolfpack in this one. – Jones County
Locust Grove @ Union Grove – In the battle of the Groves I’m going with Locust Grove. – Locust Grove.
Dutchtown at Heritage-Conyers – The Patriots are coming off a big win over rival Rockdale County and set at 3-0 for the year. Meanwhile the Dawgs took their first loss at Stockbridge in a low scoring defensive battle 13-7. Heritage boasts a nice QB receiver combo, while the Dawgs secondary has a couple of guys, including Tennessee recruit Trey Dean, who can run with them. I like the Dawgs offense to score a lot here - Dutchtown.
Good Luck to all!
