Well friends this is the last week for regular season football in the state. Most playoff tickets are punched. Those that aren’t will be on Friday night. For a lot of schools the basketballs are getting pumped up. I am happy to say that is not the case for my Dutchtown Bulldogs. After a 7 year drought we are back in the playoffs! It’s been a while.
Also going to the playoffs from our region are the defending and current region champs the Stockbridge Tigers. Coach Whitley’s squad went to Jones County and defeated a tough Greyhound squad in their backyard. Jones County. The hounds lost a tough one to a good team. The final Region team to go to the playoffs, are the Eagles Landing Golden Eagles. You know coach Teknipp is smiling down and proud of these guys.

Union Grove @ Stockbridge – Tigers big! Question is will they get the shutout. Stockbridge
Ola @ Hampton – Mustangs roll behind Chris Rodriguez. It’s his last high school football game. Let’s see if he goes out with a bang. Ola
Woodland @ Locust Grove – Give me Woodland in a close one. Woodland
Dutchtown @ Jones County – At stake here is the region runner up and the number 2 seed in the state playoffs. That seed is on the opposite side of the bracket of Rome, Buford and Stockbridge. The hounds offense is lethal. Bolus and Ross have been devastating to opposing teams. Dutchtown’s defense has been just as dominant with Glenn, Dean, Waddell and Anderson among others leading the way. This should be a great game to watch. You know who I’m going for.
