I don’t know much about what their AA competition have coming back, but they have Skipstone, Calvary and CFCA (hello BuckRiver!) in their division. So, on paper it’s going to be a tough run to make the playoffs (and Community is AA this year in the other division).....not saying it can’t be done....just a lot of historically better schools to have to go through to win a title this year in AA.
Their schedule doesn’t look too tough early in the season. If they can beat Lafayette week 3 (who looks loaded this year in A) they might have a shot...if not, well.

Road to glory runs down 247. While Sherwood boasts the best of SW Georgia football a buzz saw awaits them on 10/11. Send them home with sawdust in their Muck boot cleats and looks of fear on their face. Celebrate HC with an airshow by our qb. Will be over by halftime.

Lafayette will be testing out how sharp that buzz saw actually is Friday. Word is you guys should indeed be pretty good this year...but we don’t mind being road underdogs and actually seeing for ourselves (I will gladly give credit where credit is due if they can back up your talk)

We will be real good this year. Dressing out over 40 glass eaters who are hungry to slap some new patsys around. Dont worry, we will play most of JV tomorrow night. Our sights are set on Greasa boys next week and Teatbaby Acad at end of season to sweep all 3 classifications. Enjoy the visit. Foodcourt has everything including plenty of humble pie that all visitors taste when they leave the football mecca of the south. Got that ramma jamma ooohhhhh aaahhhhh

Based on hudl video, he's not very fast. Big, but slow.

BuckRiver....impressed by your lancers tonight. Efficient, really well coached and real big and physical upfront. We made some adjustments to keep it respectable, but you guys were far sharper and had control of that game

Refreshing to watch two hard nose teams play a physical game without the shenanigans that plague Greasa. Best of luck down the road. We head to Sparta with the old grey mule to eat some Briars. Community whips Bulloch and Wrecking Crew slap around chaps from Not McToughie County. Have to take phone off hook to keep vultures from Sinclair and Tittown from trying to swipe our players.

Plus, when your entire offensive hopes are pinned on one guy and he runs the qb keeper all the time....well, sooner or later (sometimes sooner) he will get hurt and then you got nothing.

Got to now go with a “hard NO!” on Sherwood’s AA title chances. Sherwood lost 65-30 tonight to single A Lafayette despite having their touted starting QB play all game tonight (and he did do a lot of good work, very good player). However, they just got man-handled and destroyed upfront defensively....gave up 9 rushing TD’s (gave up a kick return TD as well). They have a good deal of talent and will likely bounce back, but Central Fellowship (BuckRiver will love to see this matchup) would run all day on them as things stand now. Got to be able to defend the run better than tonight to get to having a chance. They have a lot of good work to do to get back in the title conversation. If LCS hits those PAT’s they would have given up 70 at home

Based on hudl video, he's not very fast. Big, but slow. Good wiggle, doesn’t go down easy...fast..but yes, not nearly the elite speed you would expect based on what people have said about him. He is “the man” for Sherwood’s offense, but he wasn’t nearly the fastest guy on the field last night...might not have even been top 3. Fastest guy was Cason Frith, tailback for LCS. 11 Rushing TD’s in the first 3 games all AA opponents .....a name to watch out for in A. Of course it helps that LCS has gotten their O-line play up to game speed after a slow start (especially in the first half of the first game) against a talented CFCA front.

Wrecking crew focused on slapping Calvary around like rag doll Friday night. No concern for Sherwood Forest as they are an academic school that offers football. We are blessed that we focus on all aspects of student life. Really do not see another challenge the rest of the way. By the way, Westwood beat a public school. In case you havent heard all the players denied admission to Sherwood beat a public school. Fans spent the night pounding mailboxes on dirt roads and rolling hoops with sticks in the pasture!
