Once again only one GAPPS vs. GAPPS matchup might be somewhat close.
Griffin v Georgia Christian : probably Griffin by a TD or a little more, but I don’t have a good read on Georgia Christian
Otherwise...
Kings easily over Lanier (4 TDS) CFCA over Fullington by whatever BuckRivers boys decide they want the margin to be. Lafayette over Central. New (old) coaching and a rivalry game might mean Central finally scores, but anything less than a 30 point spread would be a real surprise. This could be really ugly as Central has been terrible so far this year.

Thinking about it......we COULD have more games if GICAA/GAPPS hadn't left the GISA. Plus "less travel". Plus the opportunity for a "more level playing field" if there are lots more teams in a league. Great idea!!

Its been a good while.....The past is the past and it’s better to look forward to what can be done now....if one wants to see more of these. If you don’t, fine.....Rehashing the past is just a waste of time.

What an idiotic response. it wasn't that long ago but the "reasons" were dredged up from the muck and mire and never had a grain of Truth. Someone has said "The past is prologue....". We all have the POSSIBILITY of learning from the past. Especially when the PRESENT sucks so bad. Please don't duck and jive the reality of where you are from here on out. You'll never win over.

I have been around the GICAA for the past 6 years or more and I have no idea what you are even alluding to as far as the past goes. You ramble about the past like folks should know what you are talking about (and maybe some folks do), but it is far enough in the past that not everyone around does. Whatever the past is, you obviously have some axe to grind with the GICAA (if your feelings about the GICAA’s history are fair or unfair, I have no idea), but many folks currently involved with programs have come in since whatever happened in the past happened. I have no idea what I would even be ducking for jiving from....but it seems you think it to be common knowledge

I'm suggesting that the reasons for leaving GISA and forming a new "christian" league were bogus.
Why not just combine with GISA, add 8-man, and all just get along.
Many GAPPS schools right now, such as Sherwood, would be better off playing 8-man. Not based on enrollment but based on roster size and the limited level of athleticism they can gen up.
mdl, you've essentially said yourself in your posts that the level of competition in GAPPS is extremely poor even if schools scheduled in their classification on no-region dates. Not many interesting match-ups so far. So why do it??

With the way the GAPPS looks this year in 11 man you might get your wish for some here wishing for a re-combination. However, last year things looked healthy with a couple of 8 man teams moving up and doing well....which if there is a future for 11 man in GAPPS is the way that future will happen. Life getting booted...GA Force not being in and 2 programs having their football programs totally get cancelled (late) really squeezed things down this year. Next year might tell the tale for 11 man here. I believe there are lot more teams are in 8 man for GAPPs than 11 man....haven’t checked that though.
I think Sherwood might have too many on the roster for 8 man....plus they are talented enough to be legitimately in 11 man. That doesn’t mean, they are good. Not every 11 man team has to be good to really belong in 11 man. GAPPS doesn’t make teams play 11 man based on enrollment. They do make them play 11 man if their roster is too big for 8 man.

Heck, we lost to BuckRivers boys week 1, but it was a exciting game....we had our chances. The match ups the last couple of weeks were indeed mostly uninspiring (because too many obvious blowouts). Next week things start to pick up again. So, there are some good match ups (in GAPPS) , but the last couple of weeks just didn’t give us many. League size does play the factor in that though....when there aren’t that many games being played you can have some ho-hum weeks.
