Minutes from today's reclassification meeting looks like GHSA is going to pass the AA privates on to AAA to deal with.

And what a crock that is. The GHSA just needs to go ahead and get it over with - make a private school classification system, one that has its own championships. And to one up the GISA, allow the privates to continue playing the publics.

In my humble opinion any school that has open enrollment should play in private class.its unfair for rest.

I dunno. I don't want to see all private schools completely removed out of GHSA. I DO, though, see the merit and NEED to move them up in classification. The same holds true for public schools who have X number of out-of-district players, and I believe that is working out just fine. The same can be done with private schools.

They should just give them a hefty multiplier

They should just give them a hefty multiplier I agree. That is how they have handled the many schools that take in out-of-district athletes. Just think.... Buford was playing in Class A, and then Class AA for ?? years (their last season in Class AA was 2011). I am sure their attendance numbers have increased. But they're now in AAAAAA, and I doubt they've grown that much. Calhoun has also moved up to AAAAA, and I am quite certain they are nowhere near true AAAAA attendance numbers. But the multiplier the GHSA applied is what has moved those schools up in classification. I think the multiplier rule is certainly the best way to handle it. There is no need to fully remove private schools from playing with public schools. That rings more of some vindictive mindset that really accomplishes nothing, but serves to do something extremely negative. What are they going to do next, kick out the public schools with X amount of out-of-district players?
