Thank you. I have been meaning to make a point about the national debt which is the primary focus of your link.
The critics always, always point to how the dollar volume of the national debt has gone up. So let's make a comparison to what happens to a growing, healthy company.
A company that is healthy and growing, has a dollar debt that grows much like our National Debt. In fact, almost always an unhealthy company has a dollar debt that is falling. The dickens you say!!!! How can that be?
Well, its because looking at the dollar volume is the wrong measure. So we, should be looking at it the same way a banker would be looking when he is deciding whether or not to loan money to a company (or individual). He looks first, at the debt ratio. Now I know all of us have heard of that ratio so no more explanation is in order. Although, with nations its called gdp/debt ratio.
