Someone made a comment about a Bowdon player transferring in his senior year hurting him in recruiting. I agree sometimes adults don't have kid's best interests when they encourage a rising senior to do something like that. Talent levels are already similar. Why give a college coach a reason to strike your name off his list ? It's already tough to get kid's recruited at the lower levels. What have you seen in your areas that help these kids get recruited from smaller schools?

I've also heard some schools have one coach assigned to speak with college coaches. Usually it's an assistant, but most will probably want to talk to head coach before an offer is made.

I can say it is hard to follow a kid when they change schools, unless it is a legit family move. I saw something similar on twitter, now X... But the kid just changed schools from and Alabama High School to a Georgia High School..No move involved.. Then someone had the nerve to say well they went to church here there whole life or years, I cant remember exactly..

Common sense says moving to a nearby school during high school speaks volumes. What college coach is going to give a scholarship to a kid who already has an inclination to change schools? Adults should look after these kids better. Hopefully it won't hurt too much, but I can't imagine it being beneficial.

Kid was basically brought in from California. From what I hear, Buford would have been better without him though. It changed the style of offense they ran, which a few folks say it cost them.

I think that is a slightly different situation. He had TONS of offers before he moved and was the #1 player in the country. So many kids we see at small schools are on the bubble and are disqualified for the stupidest reasons. Changing schools late in your career can definitely hurt you. I don't see how it can help unless you go to a bigger classification to prove yourself
