What are going to be some of the best matchups this week? Any potential upsets? Hoping we get the Brentwood/PAC and Briarwood/EBA rubber matches. Someone tell me about what to expect from the region 3 AA ladies' side. Any matchups in the other classifications we should be paying attention to? Time to start separating the wheat from the chaff.

I would think the rubber matches are pretty certain. Burke will have no problem with Augusta Prep. if Gatewood plays as they did against Brentwood last Friday, they may have a chance, but not much a chance. I do not think Briarwood will have much problem with their match with Burke. I think Piedmont beats Brentwood in their Rubber game unless Brentwood plays as good as they did in the second game at Brentwood. Brentwood does not have an inside game without Bailey. Brentwood will have to hit their 3 pointers and free throws to pull out a win against Piedmont and stay out of foul trouble. Brentwood’s defense contained Holder in their last game and will have to do it again to have a chance I wonder what a loss to Piedmont by Brentwood and a win by Briarwood will do to the rankings for the State Tournament?

Pretty sure this is for the Girls AA but for those games outside of Girls AA, I would look a Boys AA Region 6. Most of the season it looked like Trinity would run the table but their loss to CFCA at home (71-49) was interesting. As these 2 teams sit on the top of Boys AA (2 & 4 for now) this Region's Tourney should impact this bracket the most.

Looking for that information as well Fire. Can anyone match up with Furtah when it matters most?

In that scenario Sheriff, I think everything stays the same in the algorithm world. I'll be curious how the coaching committee begins to meddle in that pot though.

Looking for that information as well Fire. Can anyone match up with Furtah when it matters most? I do not think so, this is a very good team and has played well all year. Their not as good as Furtah 2018 boys but they are battle tested from high level GHSA & GIAA teams. Saying that who knows how the brackets play out.

SGA Boys win 65-54 over CCA. WW is playing GA Christian now.
SGA girls get the first round bye as CCA and GA Christian has not posted the score.

SGA vs GA Christian for the boys region title CCA vs WW for third.
With the weaker north region getting the benefit of winning a "region" game, WW will stay home with a loss and a chance for the playoffs with a win
