That was the plan with him meeting with them from the get go. Coach Reid did not relieve anybody of their duties and does not have the power to hire or fire anybody. You are misinformed. The coaches leaving resigned on their own.

All coaches that left were given contracts and they did not sign them. In order to fire or relieve someone of duties it must go through BOE. Check the records they are public.

Seeing that the current administration is leaving, the AD has been replaced, and all of this has transpired since Reid took the City AD. I will ask, who do you think is forcing people out? Coincidence, lol. Ask any of the departing personnel as I have and you will not be misinformed!

You are correct in that the BOE has to approve hires and termination,s but he does has a clause in his contract that allows him to have a say in personnel in the event that he might "need" a coach. Also public knowledge. Several coaches have left of their own will, but of the 3 that I have personally spoken with, they felt encroached on before Reid was AD in addition to all agreeing that he has a much larger role than stated on paper that was a determining factor in their departures.

The coaches leaving resigned on their own. This is also all under a besieged Superintendent hired as Interim and to full time by the BOE despite public outcry of a man who has no formal background in education, but rather in business. Unfortunately, that is the direction RCS is headed, run like a business rather than an education system. As System AD, Reid does not need approval to relieve a coach as you can still teach without coaching. However, 9 out 10 coaches would not stay with a school regardless after losing their coaching responsibilities. He does not have the ability to hire or fire, but a coach without a team is not going to stay which essentially is a firing.
