If Buford can survive their first 5 games they have a good shot at heading to the Dome again. After opening with 7A Hilgrove in the Corky Kell they play Melbourne Central Catholic, Melbourne FL that went 11-1 last year. The biggest challenge however comes Sept 15th when they play South Point, SC, USA Today's # 12 ranked team in the Nation. This game will tell a lot about this year's Buford team because I doubt they would see a better team the rest of the year.

Ready to get the season started. Seeing a new offensive scheme will be a welcomed site. As always. 75

Hard to argue with that. But look out for the Trojans! We were 1 step behind Buford and Rome last year and I expect us to be much improved. Hoping Sean Calhoun is about to elevate the Trojans and 5A football to a whole new level.

Hillgrove returns just about everyone on O, if their D can hold up a little they will be a tough out.

Really want to see the Buford vs South Point game think that will be a good one I'm with you on that one. The # 1 ranked team in SC will definitely be a challenge. Hopefully with 3 games under their belt by Sept 15th, the new offense will have worked out most of the kinks. Good news is a loss isn't devastating against an out of Classification/State team. I can think of at least 3 instances where Buford has lost a game in their first 5 and gone on to win a State Championship.
